Hello! My name is Emily. I have experience caring for children and have met a lot of amazing kids! For a year I was a medical assistant for a family practice/OB doctor, and I loved talking to and giving care to all the children and infants who were patients at the clinic. I have CPR/First Aid training. For a few years, I've worked in assisted living homes, private in-home care, and at an adult foster home. My earlier caregiving experience is with the younger generation.
In 2007, I gave care to four siblings ranging in ages two to 9-years-old. I prepared meals and fed them, played games, cleaned the house, and read to them.
In 2006, for three months I gave care to a 6-month-old baby until he was 9-months-old. I prepared his formula and fed him, helped him nap, went for walks while he was in the stroller or Baby Bjorn, cleaned the house, and read him books.
In 2006, I assisted with the construction repairs of an orphanage home in Tijuana, Mexico. I also had the opportunity to feed and give care to the children living at the house.
In 2004, I was involved with an elementary school where I taught children about the wetlands.
In 2004, I gave care to 8-year-old twin girls and their 4-year-old brother. I made meals and fed them, we went for walks, read books, I cleaned the house, and we played games.
In 2003, I gave care to toddlers in a church daycare program.
In 2002, I assisted with a children Vacation Bible School at a church in Mexico where I was teaching and playing games with children of all ages. In 2003 and 2001, I was also involved in VBS programs at two different churches in Washington where I taught a variety of children.
