My major in college is Human Development and Family Science, Child and Family Services. Through my schooling, I've acquired extensive knowledge on children aging from newborn to as old as adolescence. I've worked with children with special needs (primarily Autism) in which I assisted them on building skills in memory recall and categorization. For a few years, I babysat for a family that lived on my street, starting when the kids were 5 months, 2 years, and 3 years old. Working with them has provided me with real life experiences and the opportunity to apply what I've learned in school. The duties I performed with them included typical babysitting tasks, cooking, driving them to desired locations, and would occasionally sleep over as needed by the parents. I love animals so pets are not an issue. I have a 1-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd which loves children and is welcome to join me if desired. I have a reliable car for transportation and a clean driving record. For the past 4 summers, I've worked at a school and was in national honor society throughout high school so I'm capable of assisting your child with their schooling if needed. Thanks.
