I am an extremely active young adult. I love to play all sports, and just to be outside. I have 7 years childcare experience with children ranging from newborn to 14 years. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am the oldest of 4 kids so dealing with children is a way of life for me. I learned from a young age how to care for children, cook, clean, and be dependable, safe, honest, and responsible. I also learned how to create fun, positive and educational activities which include; recreational activities, arts and crafts, and games that promote growth and education for the children I care for. I have 5 years experience with infants ranging from 6 weeks to 3 years, and 7 years experience with children ranging from 3 to 14 years.
I graduated from high school in may 2011 and went straight to college at Armstrong Atlantic State University where I have grown into a mature adult. I joined the Army ROTC and made a commitment to serve in the Army when I graduate college. I am a nursing major with a 3.5 GPA. I am a student ambassador, and a member of the recruitment committee on campus where we travel to other schools to educate and recruit high school and middle school kids to go to our college. I have involved myself in over 30 hours of volunteer opportunities, some with children, in the last 6 months.
My personal interests include; running, horseback riding competitively, soccer, surfing, long boarding around campus, reading, and volunteering at the local humane society. I am an active member of my local church, and I volunteer every Sunday caring for infants.
My future goals include; becoming an officer in the army, becoming a pediatric nurse, having my own family, and eventually going back to school for my masters degree in pediatric healthcare. I am currently training for my first full marathon in the fall.
