I am a responsible and caring child care provider. I have been a nanny for nearly 4 years, but I had to leave the family I was working for to attend nursing school last summer. I have had a lot of experience with toddlers as the boy I have been caring for over the past four years was two when I started. I have also babysat for many children from infants to school-aged children. Additionally, I have worked in special education classrooms as a paraprofessional at Denver Public Schools, which I also really enjoyed. I have been babysitting for about 14 years. I am CPR certified for infants/children/adults. I love getting children outside (zoo, park, pool, etc) and keeping them busy with exciting, exploratory activities.

I am originally from Minnesota, but moved to Colorado after serving in Americorps where I was based in Denver, and fell in love with the city, the mountains, and the weather. I grew up on a farm and am the youngest of six children, I have enjoyed taking care of people for as long as I could remember, growing up my family would call me "nurse Emmie" as I was always helping my mom take care of any of my siblings when they were sick. I started babysitting for neighboring families when I was 12 years old, and absolutely loved being able to hang out with children and take care of them while getting paid. I am hoping that upon graduation from nursing school that I can obtain a job as a pediatric nurse.

I am looking for a family to help out this summer and may be able to continue into the fall as school starts up again. I currently work for a family with a 2-year-old boy two days a week, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the days are flexible with enough notice.
