I started a regular, weekly babysitting job when I was 13 for a family who had a 6-month-old boy and a 3-year-old girl when I first started working for them, and I continued to work for them through high school. I babysat for many other families with kids of all different ages in my area through middle school and high school, and I picked up another regular job (2 or 3 times a week) my junior and senior year for a family who had 4-month-old girl and a 2-year-old girl when I started working for them. Last summer, I worked regularly for a family with a 6-month-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.

Aside from babysitting and nannying, I also coached soccer (as the head coach) for kids ages 2 to 5 once a week every fall when I was in middle school and high school. The program had about 20 kids each year.

My senior year I also volunteered three days a week at a school in Portland, ME. I worked in a first grade classroom.

In middle school and high school I also volunteered at a retirement community in Falmouth, ME at a program they host each month called the Kids' Club which connects children with elders, and I helped to mentor the kids and bridge this gap.

I have also gone for the past four years to Mississippi for one week to volunteer at a Child Development Center there. The Child Development Center has newborns up to age 6 in their care.

I am currently volunteering once a week at the Boys & Girls Club in Newton, MA working after school with kids of all ages.
