When I was 11 years old I started being a mother's helper for my neighbors' children and quickly developed into a regular babysitter for several families in my town. I've babysat both girls and boys, ages ranging from 15 months to 11 years old. During high school I completed a babysitter certification course and participated in an early childhood education class. While I was doing my undergrad, I was the student coordinator for a childhood nutrition education program, so I regularly taught children in schools, ranging from preschool to middle school. I recently moved from CT to IL to attend graduate school studying nutrition and dietetics and will be here for at least the next two and a half years. I would love to find a family to consistently babysit for to earn some extra money while in school.
