During the school year, I love my job as an Educational Support Professional in the Special Education Department. I'm energetic and have a positive attitude. Knowing I am making a difference through quality care giving, gives me great satisfaction. I implement creative methods when teaching new skills or subjects. My character is one of a calm, compassionate, and approachable nature. When common sense and humor were being handed out, I went back for seconds. I feel when life gives you lemons, go make lemon bars. I enjoy being active and healthy. I would like to share my healthy lifestyle and knowledge with the families for whom I work. Other related experience includes being a Speech Therapy assistant, assistant manager of a home for medically-fragile children, case manager, vocational evaluator, community education teacher, and assistant manager of a day program for adults with special needs.
I hope to incorporate local parks, museums, zoos, and the arboretum, into some fun and educational experiences for your children. My hobbies include photography, travel, exercising, studying other countries and their cultures, cooking, gardening, researching and investing, and volunteer work.
