I am a passionate, caring childcare professional, who is seeking a position that will utilize my diverse set of skills and provide me an opportunity to positively shape children's development during early childhood.
I have always had a deep appreciation and love for children and their development. I have worked for individual families as well as for Day Care centers in CT and PA. I interned for a summer at Bridgeport Hospital in their Pediatric ICU with their child psychologist, by helping the children feel more comfortable in their troubling situations.
I obtained a great deal of my experience working full time for a family in Fairfield, CT from 2008 to 2011. During this time I was responsible for all childcare needs for two children born in 2008 and 2010. I had the pleasure of introducing an additional member to the family and maintained the attention needs of both children. I acted as sole caretaker while parents traveled overseas. During my three years with this family, I oversaw and stimulated early physical and cognitive development through daily activities utilizing the growing mind of a child, such as reading, sports, arts & crafts, and play acting. I love sports and arts and crafts (I played lacrosse in college and worked at an art camp during one of my summers in college). In all of my experience I have worked with newborns until age 6 (except for my internship at the hospital where my work was focused on aiding a 12-year-old). With all of my jobs with individual families I had great communication with the parents and we consistently worked together to plan and adjust our schedules accordingly to fit the needs of the children. I just moved to the Princeton Area of New Jersey and am looking to find a family in which I can find a similar connection to the ones I found with the other families I worked for while still living in Connecticut.
