This highly sensitive, confidential work requires coordinating case plans with a culturally diverse range of people, including children's relatives, police departments, social workers, medical personnel, case aides, county administrators, lawyers, investigators, and staff at other emergency shelters.

I monitor each child's condition and case progress; keeping detailed records for each case; defusing crisis situations with children and adults; evaluating and monitoring a wide range of physical illness or injuries, including administering medications and injury care; and organizing schedules and supplies for constant care of up to 10 or more children at one time.
