Hello, my name is Elizabeth. I am an elementary education major at a university. I absolutely love children and I can't wait to work with them full time in my future teaching career. I am one of nine children and I am an aunt 16 times over, so I have spent a lot of time babysitting over the years. I have experience working with children of all ages, from the age of newborns to early teens, both in and out of classroom settings. I have assisted classroom lesson plans as a cadet teacher throughout high school and have worked in elementary level classrooms during earlier college courses. When babysitting for friends and family, I have created a positive learning environment where children are able to learn through exploration and discovery. I have also had experience working with children with mild disabilities. For example, I worked at a camp this past summer and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the campers' individual disabilities and what I could do to assist them. My most recent role working with children is at the daycare I work at part-time, as a preschool teacher. I have enjoyed working with children from infant age to 13 years, facing each day with enthusiasm.

As a college student, I am hoping to have the opportunity to further prepare for my future career by gaining as much experience with children as possible. I am seeking a position that would allow me to continue working with children, but would not interfere with my schooling.
