I am an Elementary Education major at Penn State University, and have been surrounded with children my entire life. At the age of 13, I started being a "Mommy's Helper" to families in my neighborhood. Continuing the process, as I grew older, I was a babysitter for numerous families in my neighborhood, starting with one, then expanding based on recommendations given by the family to other families. During high school, I was a nanny for three children ages 13, 12, and 8. My role was to help them with after-school homework, take them to activities, entertain and supervise them, cook meals and clean. After the children grew old enough to drive themselves, I became a full-time babysitter for another family with two girls who are now 5 and 11. My role with them was very similar to the other family. I have always been able to interact with children very well and I enjoy spending time with them. I am a very energetic, positive person and my personality seems to fit very well with children.
