I am a 40-year-old mother of twins and I love children. For the past year and a half, I was a foster parent to a beautiful baby boy that we brought home from the hospital. I also kept another child since he was 2 months old, but he now stays home with one of his parents who became unemployed. Recently, my foster child's biological mother was approved to have him back in her home, so now my home is way too quiet during the day (smile). I am a very energetic, outgoing, loving and caring person. Children have always been drawn to me for as long as I can remember. I see them as tiny little people, eager to learn and be taught. They are so precious and forgiving; little bitty people that want to do what you do. Children are such a joy to watch. They keep me laughing because of the way they perceive things. Caring for children is my gift and when I'm the most happiest. It is rare to actually have a job that you love to do, and as a Christian, I have been blessed to do just that. I was an at home mom for the first 4 years of my Nichiren's life until they started Headstart. I then worked at Headstart for the year they were there, then worked at the Elementary school they attended for two years. Since then, I have been caring for children in my home ever since. Finding an honest and loving caregiver for your most valuable treasures can be scary. I truly understand, I have two treasures of my own.
