My name is Eileen. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 10 years. I have three daughters, 11-year-old identical twins, who are self sufficient and a 6-year-old. I am attending college on Saturdays and will soon have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have held a position on the PTO at my daughter's school and have done so for four years. I volunteer at the school whenever I am needed and I am available. I have coached my daughter's basketball and softball teams in the past.
Before becoming a mom, I was a Nanny/ Household Manger with a family for 10 years in Newton, Ma. Being a nanny was an amazing experience. It helped me to prepare myself for my own children, although, I don't know if anyone is fully prepared for having twins! From 2004 to 2008, I was a licensed daycare provider out of my home. My daycare was not filled to capacity, I only took in three children between the ages of 2 and 4 years old. Ideally, it gave me the opportunity to give each child individual attention. My long term goal was to prepare the children for Kindergarten, which I was extremely successful at.
With a new school year approaching, I am looking to provide after school care for your child/children in my home. I live in Methuen, on Bartlett Road, two minutes from 93, 495 and 213. I live in a wonderful neighborhood, in a large house that was built eight years ago. I have a full finished basement, with a pool table, fooze ball table, homework area and sitting/TV area, as well as a playroom upstairs on the main level. I have a large fenced in yard, with a nice wooden swing set, sand box, play houses. It is a fantastic neighborhood, where the children are never bored.
I can provide your child with a safe environment, healthy snacks and help with homework. Always lots crafts, games, music and much more going on in my home. My philosophy on childcare is this: "Our day to day lives offer so much opportunity to teach young children, but one has to be open and willing to see these opportunities, take advantage of them and use them to encourage young children to learn."
