I currently reside in Springfield, Virginia where I have raised two wonderful adult children with great values and morals. Married for over 30 years to a wonderful man, we have had a sound life and close family. I know the importance of balancing work and home. As a young mom working on a career, my daughter fell seriously ill and I decided that my need at that time was to be with her. I transitioned into providing childcare out of my home and joined the Newington Forest Daycare Association where I became a licensed daycare provider through Fairfax County. Over the course of 6 years, I opened my home and heart, providing not only care but a nurturing home filled with excitement and love. The children had reading time, quiet time, and outdoor time, (love Burke Lake and feeding the ducks), walks, crafty projects and more. The children were fed balanced meals and snacks. This became more than a business to me, but a way I could teach, listen and really show compassion for the children that I watched.

Once my daughter and son were of school age, I returned to the outside workforce where I worked in the commercial property management industry, and, eventually became a successful salesperson for 11 years. I feel it's time for me to give back and open my heart to what I have done so well for years and that is working with children and providing a stimulating secure environment where they can prosper.
