Hi, I love being a positive influence in childrens' lives! My child care experience ranges from infants to teenagers, in or out of their homes. I am lifeguard and CPR certified. For the last year and a half I have nannied for a great little toddler for 15 hours/week, and a pair of twins on and off, beginning when they were 5 months. I work part time as an office manager for a non-profit association in town (the Association for Outdoor Recreation and Education) and I'm looking for new wonderful family to work for during my days off. I am an LGBT-friendly nanny, and work for families who are too. I have five years of professional nannying experience for children ages 1 to 5-years-old in their homes, along with one year of working in an excellent day care. In addition to my work as a baby and early-childhood caregiver, I've spent three summers leading outdoor adventure trips for teens and tweens in California and New York State. Also a rock climbing instructor, I have five years of experience teaching kids ages 4 to 17-years-old how to let go of their fear and have fun on the rock! I am trained as a lifeguard and have been a camp counselor for the Girl Scouts, the YMCA, and the University of Michigan. My favorite part of being a camp counselor is that it's all about having a great time with the kids while teaching them valuable life skills! I sing constantly with the children I care for, and play guitar for them and love to have the toddlers dance! My strength as a sitter comes from years of experience, a high level of safety training and a creative, fun personality. I am professional, punctual, and a good communicator.
