I am a very caring, loving, fun, compassionate, responsible, active sitter. Children are usually very comfortable meeting me on the 1st visit. I believe in creating an experience for children that is nurturing, creative, fun with lots of laughter. I think it's important to encourage and promote a healthy self esteem. I do this by really participating in the baby-sitting time that I am there. I don't sit around and watch TV while they play by themselves. I read to them, talk to them, take them outside, to parks, color, creative projects or games. I really take the time to talk to kids that I am with, not only to get to know them but also to help them grow in confidence. I try to make their day fun with what I call adventures. I think it's all but how you say something that sparks the interest and passion in a child. One adventure I do is making lunches and going to the park for a picnic and play or with bikes or walking. I enjoy the outdoors and try to be outside as much as possible, weather permitting. I have worked with twins before and have worked with a few special needs children from Easter Seals. I find the work very enjoyable and rewarding. I have a 4 year degree from Eastern Illinois University and currently live in Darien.
