I emailed Daisy about a potential position caring for her baby. I was going to interview with her in Irving at her home. The night in question was very cold and windy with rain. I went to my car and found that my left front tire was almost completely flat and it was already 6 p.m. The Kwik Kar stayed open just for me and they checked my air and filled the left front tire. The next morning at 7 a.m. I took my car to the store where I had just recently purchased this tire and waited my turn in line with everyone else. They fixed the tire stem and sent me on my way. I was just in time for a doctor appointment where I was told that I would need a procedure right away and I had to do pre-op blood work and paperwork at the hospital. I don't want to get into any more medical details here. This was just bad timing for Daisy and myself. Instead of explaining all of this medical stuff to her, I told her I couldn't make it to her interview in Irving and she should definitely look for someone else. I never at any time promised her that I would accept the position. We hadn't even met or had an interview yet. I don't think it's fair to say that I'm unreliable when circumstances beyond my control prevented me from even getting to the interview. I have proof in writing here for both of these events if needed. I have excellent references. I wish Daisy all the best.
