I love little kids and babies! I am very flexible with days and hours. I do lots of crafty projects with the kids, and educational activities too. We have a huge front and backyard for the kids to play in as well as a park across the street. I have two children of my own, a 20 year-old and a nearly 18-year-old. I have been married for nearly 21 years, lived in the same house for 23, and in the same neighborhood for 38. I have recently cared for a now nearly 3-year-old of which I have taken care of her since she was 12 weeks-old. She is now going to go to preschool, so I have free time. Her parents work in law enforcement, so I have had her all different hours, even overnight. I have lots of references of the different families I have taken care of, just ask if you have any questions. The kids are all treated as though they were my own, meaning they get spoiled just like mine do, and also are taught basic manners as well. I love working with children. They bring lots of happiness to everyone! When at the appropriate age, your child will be introduced to their numbers, letters, colors and shapes. Along with learning how to respect other people, have good behavior and learn the right way on how to interact with other children (example: sharing, taking turns, saying "please" and "thank you", being patient, etc.).
Other fun stuff: arts and crafts, water play, puzzles, play-doh, painting, hide and seek, learning flash cards, going to the park, bean bag toss, and ring toss, and projects to take home to mom and dad on holidays! They have lots of fun. If they are here at meal time, they will eat unless otherwise specified by parents. The kids that I recently cared for were here quite often, I took the oldest one to school and picked him up. I have had them overnight often, and even have had the baby overnight also. The kids had their own little cots that have sleeping bags on them, and I have a baby crib and infant car seat along with toddler car seats. We have four dogs and recently raised a now "working" guide dog for Guide Dogs of America. All the dogs love all the kids! I would like to care for your children in my home so I can care for my own at the same time. Although they're teenagers now, they need almost more supervision than the little ones! I am available Monday through Friday as early as 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., but am flexible, overnight occasionally if needed, not as a regular schedule.
