I'm a recent graduate from Cal State East Bay. I majored in liberal studies and took many teacher preparation classes. My hope is to become an elementary school teacher in the next couple years. I also completed a minor in human development with a focus on child development.
I have always loved working with children. I have had the honor of completing an internship at an Elementary where I was able to be an assistant teacher for a 5th grade class as well as solo teach for an enrichment program. I was told by the principal there that I am a natural born teacher. My family has taken care of many foster children, so I have had the pleasure of interacting and taking care of children of many different ages and personalities. I have also worked with children of many different abilities. I am CPR/First Aid certified.
About my personality; I am very bubbly and outgoing. My love of cheer leading has poured over into my daily life as it gives me joy to encourage, up lift and make people happy. In high school, I lettered in varsity cheer and was part of my schools team for three years. I have studied commercial/TV acting in San Francisco for several years and have co-taught a musical theater/acting class. I like to incorporate some of my skills, creative dancing, and acting exercises with the children that I babysit and nanny. Exercises that I do help to awaken the child's creativity, imagination, and also helps to build their confidence, self esteem, and independence. I would be delighted to be a part of helping your child grow into a successful, positive and productive adult member of our society.
