I have a B.A. degree in Child Development, and for the last 15 years I have worked with hundreds of children of all ages. I have extensive experience with both typically developing children and children with special needs. I have been a babysitter, nanny, tutor, kindergarten P.E. teacher, homework helper and day camp counselor. I have worked in a foster care group home for adolescent boys, in a preschool classroom for children with special needs, and I have worked as a Special Education Para-educator for 9 years. Although I have some experience with infants and toddlers, most of my experience is with children aged 3-18.
I'm available for both an ongoing job and on-call opportunities. I love working with children of all ages, and my favorite age group of children I care for are school-aged.
I'm responsible, mature, intelligent, fun and creative in playing with children. I have a vivid imagination and a great sense of humor, and I am caring, nurturing, patient and kind. I enjoy having fun and being silly with kids. I love making art, music and doing anything creative with children. I also have a car, insurance and a perfect driving record.
In my spare time, I love to read, sing, make music, dance, draw, cook with friends and go for walks in nature. After traveling overseas, I moved to Portland (from southern California) in 2005 and I've enjoyed making this progressive and friendly city my home.
