First and foremost, I am a mother of 3 and was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years. My 19-year-old son has special needs. I feel that I am very energetic, enjoy children, have extensive experience and success in keeping children engaged in meaningful learning activities (it's the teacher in me and I had to keep my son who has special needs actively involved all day long), and would be willing to help in making lunch, running errands, laundry, light housekeeping, etc. My family and I are temporarily relocating to the Kansas City area for the summer so that my 17-year-old daughter can play softball at an elite level. I am a teacher of 18 to 21-year-olds with mild disabilities and currently am out of school for the summer. I teach daily living and employment skills. I would be available to work from June 4th to August 3rd, Monday to Friday.
