I have provided day care for 25 years to families in the Independence and surrounding area. I have excellent references from both current and past customers (and some from the children themselves who are attending college now!). My background in education (122 college hours with a major in education) has allowed me to develop a preschool program that I have used with great success for approximately 20 years. Besides preparing preschoolers for kindergarten, included are various craft activities that the kids love to do. My facilities include a large playground outside with swings, slides, swinging bench, very large jungle gym, teeter totter, little tykes picnic table, riding toys, etc. enclosed in a fenced yard. Inside, a large equipped playroom contains two playhouses, a jungle gym for climbing, a curtained area for puppet shows, table and chairs and a designated area for creative drawing and coloring and numerous barrels full of toys, blocks and dress-up clothes for hours of imaginative fun. I strive to create a christian atmosphere with all of the children in my care. We are located in the Blackburn Elementary School District. We are also about a 5 minute drive from I70 and 291 Hwy.
