I have had 20+ years of childcare experience. TB test June 2012, other immunizations updated this year. First-Aid and CPR training. It is important to me to provide excellent affordable care. I will treat your children like they are mine. Also provide daily reports that list what is eaten and how much, diaper changes, photos or videos taken during the day so that you feel a part of the child's day. I cared for twins (boy and girl) from 1-week-old to 1-1/2 years and only stopped caring for them when we moved. I cared for children at our church daycare ages infant to kindergarten. I also was a nanny for several members of our church on a regular basis (for approximately 15 years). They were ages newborn to 7 years old. I made baby food, changed diapers, kept children and the house clean. I taught the children cognitive skills such as colors, counting, naming things and age appropriate skills such as tying shoes, potty training, and walking. I love to do crafts, draw, color, paint and engage their imaginations. I have cared for children with cerebral palsy and other special needs. I love children and I am very hands on. I have cared for groups of 10, but prefer to care for 2 children at the most. I was born in Colorado and graduated with a degree in Pharmacy and Chemistry. I have a daughter who is 24 years old and goes to art school for 3D animation. She has had straight A's since kindergarten. We have been in San Francisco for 3 years. We live in Upper Nob Hill bordering on North Beach/China Town area. You will not find me sitting on the couch, watching TV, texting, or having anyone over to your home. I am 60 years old, but a very young 60. The photo on my profile is only a couple of months old. I worked in a NICU in college. I believe in a nurturing environment and keeping things calm. Every child is beautiful and is a gift. While the children nap, I clean the kitchen, floors and sanitize toys. I prepare their meals and make sure they are balanced. I am very flexible, dependable and would love to have a long-term assignment. I prefer to be paid on the books, if it is contract labor that is different.
References and reviews are available. I have had recent vaccinations, speak English, American citizen, certified in First Aid and CPR, and do not smoke. My ideal would be a job where I am with 1 to 2 children for at least 5 years or longer. I love infants up to junior high, but all children are a joy and a true gift.
