When I was younger I watched my niece and nephew all the time. Now I watch my niece's 4 children sometimes. She has a 9-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy and girl twins. I occasionally watch my neighbor's 4-year-old child. I have also done respite care for my friend, who has 3 special needs children (autistic), who are now teenagers, but still need supervision. I also used to watch my other friend's child, also a special needs child. When I was a teenager I watched children in my neighborhood and tutored spelling and reading to one.
