My name is Debbi. I am married and the mother of 4 grown children. My experience goes back to the age of 10 when I took on the roll of "mothers helper" for my newborn brother. I continued babysitting through my teen years. In my 20's, I became a hairdresser where my specialty was doing children. I was still babysitting on the side. Soon after, I got married and had children of my own. once my children were in school full-time, I believe this is where the "babysitting" turned into more of the title of "nanny". My duties included preparing meals, outings such as trips to the park, the zoo or story time at the local library, homework, and getting ready for bath and bedtime. There were also occasions where I stayed overnight for a few days while the parents were away which was always a pleasure. I only have 1 daughter living at home now. It seems throughout the years, all of my kids' friends always migrated to our home. They say they feel so comfortable and we always have the best food. I relate very well with kids of all ages on all levels. The last family I worked for the mom died of breast cancer. I love feeling as though I am helping in some way and that kids find it easy to talk to me.
