Debbie agreed to be an every other Saturday night babysitter for my son, and babysat for him a handful of times. She was very nice and he liked her. But after a few weeks of being reliable, she started cancelling mid-week for various reasons. The last time she was supposed to babysit, she cancelled 2.5 hours before she was supposed to arrive. I found her to be a very nice person, but very unreliable.

Jenn is correct that I had to cancel on her twice. However, the reasons were simple: I became ill and right after that my mother, who receives around-the-clock care, had a health scare. I let Jenn know when I got sick and felt she had plenty of notice to make other arrangements. As for the other time, I offered to still come but Jenn refused my offer.
