I have been a Redcross Certified babysitter since the age of 12 and have watched children from the ages of 6 months to 13 years. The summer of 2010 at the age of 18, I nannied for two 11-year-olds and two 9-year-olds. At this job I was responsible for taking them to events during the day and making lunch. This past summer I worked for Campus Crusade for Christ during their Conference, and worked with children 1-2 years of age in a daycare style environment. Through the school year I also babysit for a few people in Fort Collins with children from ages 5-10 years. Also once a month I volunteer in the infant nursery at my local church. I re-certified in First Aid and CPR May of 2011. I am studying Music Education at the University Of Northern Colorado and I love to teach children and help them learn new things. When working with children I enjoy playing with them and getting involved in the activities they do, rather than just letting them play and watching them. I feel that this helps encourage the children to try new activities because they know they will have my assistance and it shows them that even though I am there to watch and protect them, fun can still be all around. I am willing to work flexible hours during the week.
