Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. As you may have noticed, my name is Dawn and I am 35 years old. I have been married for almost 5 years, but with my husband for almost 11. :) I enjoy hanging out at home, bowling, BBQ's, pretty much anything that involves my husband and our friends makes me happy. Now on to the important stuff, my experiences. I was honored to be offered my first nanny position when I was 19 years old by a friend and neighbor. Her babies were 6 1/2 months, 2 1/2 and 5 when I started taking care of them and I was lucky enough to be with them for 2 years. After that nanny position ended due to family circumstances, I went to work at a hotel for another 5 1/2 years as an administrative assistant. I also worked for a wonderful family in Boulder taking care of their 20-month-old and their new baby when he arrived soon after I started. I was only with this family for a year and left only because the commute got to be just too much for me. My next nanny position was for a dear couple who had 4 school aged children (she had 2 boys, he had 2 girls). They were going through a family issue and they wanted the kids to have a summer to remember since their lives would all change drastically once school started back up. I was with this family for just a couple of months but it was a fantastic couple of months. After my summer nanny position I was lucky enough to connect with a sweet family that had a 2-year-old and a 10-month-old twins. I was with this family for 2 years and only resigned from this position because my husband and I decided to move to another state. Unfortunately, the move did not work out for us. I took some time off at my husband's coaxing but I missed working and being around children so after 1 year off I found a family with a 2 1/2-year-old and a baby on the way. I have worked for this family for almost 3 years and I love the kiddos and parents but I am needing a more regular schedule. I am very much in touch with every family that I have worked for in the past, through visits, Facebook and/or e-mail.
