I've grown up around children and I have always been the one to be good with them and around them. First Experience was after high school I got a job at a hotel, which required me to watch children from ages 4-12 years old from time to time for over 3 years. My duties were to assure their safety inside and outside the classroom, keep watch of them in the swimming pool areas, with the younger ones I helped with their changing of clothes after swimming. We would take the children to lunch, making sure they eat a proper meal, and after they had finished let them have a little desert snack.(On their forms I always double checked if they had allergies). Other Experiences:I took care of my boyfriends son from his birth until he was a year old (last year in July), my sisters son from his birth till he was 5 months old (this past January), and my sisters step-son from 1 1/2- 2 1/2 years old (this past January). Those duties included: Feeding (bottles, baby food, solid foods), burping, changing of diapers, showering, cleaning up after, spending quality time with them, assure they were safe, and also for the older boy to have his play time with his toys.
