DaVee was a night nanny for us for the first four weeks of our son's life, and made our first month home from the hospital be so much easier than it would have been otherwise. Thanks to her help, my husband was able to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night, and I only needed to get up to feed the baby, while DaVee took care of burping him (that sometimes takes quite a while with a newborn!), changing him, and getting him back to sleep (so that I could also go back to sleep instead of staying up for a while after the actual feeding). DaVee has lots of experience taking care of newborns and infants, so we felt completely safe leaving our son in her care while we went to sleep. I still don't know how she does it, but DaVee does not sleep on the job, which means the baby is being watched over even while he's asleep. DaVee is very good at adhering to the parents' preferences for the child's care, so we felt comfortable that our son would receive the same type of care as he would with one of us. In short, you cannot go wrong with hiring DaVee. We still have her babysit for us from time to time and have no qualms with leaving the house and leaving our young baby in her care while we are out.
