I have been babysitting for other families since I was 12, but really started much younger than that as I was always eager to watch my younger brother when our parents went out. I moved to the city (Russian Hill) to pursue a career with a professional sports team, working with local schools and non-profit organizations. Realizing however, that my favorite times of the week were when I was interacting with children one-on-one, I decided to reevaluate the office life in pursuit of finding a family to treat as my own and have the opportunity to help children full-time.

Throughout high school, I was the nanny for a family with an amazing forth-grade boy and eighth-grade girl, the younger with special needs. I babysat my toddler neighbor since she was two, and frequently helped out with my baby cousins; a boy and a girl, since they were newborns. I have coached cheer and gymnastics from toddlers to age 12, both at a gymnastics facility and as a volunteer coach at a local elementary school. I have also coached and supervised this age group at gymnastics summer camps (primarily aged 3 to about 7) and was a science camp cabin counselor, where I was responsible for looking after, teaching, and entertaining a group of sixth graders overnight for a week.

After graduating from St. Mary's High School in 2008, I went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I was blessed with the opportunity to provide care for a 5 and 6-year-old. In my time, there I was also able to develop a sports-based after school program at a local elementary school with two of my classmates.

My most recent position as a nanny was for an amazing 5-year-old girl from the time I got off work until her dad got home, often early into the morning. I enjoyed planning fun activities for us to do, from taking picnics to the beach to teaching her cartwheels and handstands.

As a member of my youth swim team, varsity diving team and through frequent boating on the delta and San Francisco Bay, I became a strong swimmer and developed an immense appreciation for water safety. I am CPR and First Aid certified and recently renewed my certificate in October 2011.

I love animals and am very comfortable with pets: any additional duties involving pet sitting, feeding, walking, bringing in/out, please don't hesitate to ask!
