I hold an Associates Degree in Child Development, and will soon hold an Associates Degree in Behavioral Studies as well.

My love for children started young. As a child my grandmother ran Family Child Care, and I began helping her with the younger children when I was about 8 years old. I got my first real babysitting job when I was 13. I would babysit after school, some evenings and even for days at a time while families were on vacation. I knew very young that my purpose in life had something to do with children. I have worked as a nanny on and off since my teenage years.

My original goal when I earned my degree was to go into a preschool or head-start setting. My education emphasis has been on the ages from birth to five, and I absolutely adore this age group. And although the desired age group of children has not changed, the setting in where I would like to teach these children has changed.

Now, as a mother, I feel that the most important job I can do is raise my child. I am currently working retail because it allows me to work part-time with a somewhat flexible schedule. However, this is not what I want to do with my life. I would love the opportunity to help a family who needs care. Our play is meaningful, toys are developmentally appropriate, and I can assure that your child's brain will be stimulated.

I am comfortable with all ages of children, as well as working with children with unique needs. I have done an internship at Modesto Junior College working there in the child development center working with 24 children, half of whom have very unique needs.
