My experience with children and/or childcare began at home with my parents doing foster care and adoption for younger children. I have younger siblings ages 9 & 5 and watch them often, along with my 2-year-old nephew. I have also worked at childcare centers (daycare) for 2 years as a teacher's aide, helping with lesson plans and learning activities along with meal preparation and general care for all ages from 3 months to 5th grade. After leaving daycare in 2008 I went on to be a nanny for 2 & 4-year-old boys. I have been with that same family now for 4 years and have done everything from cleaning to grocery shopping, field trips, volunteering at school and visiting museums and parks.
