I am 24 years old and have worked with children extensively. Here is a list of some of my experiences:

- taught 2nd grade in Jacksonville as a Teach for America corps member

I love working with children and feel as though their interactions with adults give them a foundation for their own development. Therefore, I strive to interact and work with children that promotes problem solving, critical thinking and optimism.

When working with kids I:
- Do not agree with spending more than 30 minutes of a day watching television, playing video games, or playing on a computer
- Encourage riding bikes, swimming, and being outdoors
- Encourage thinking rationally and critically
- Hold children accountable for their words and actions
- Instill responsibility in children by having them help with chores, pick up after themselves, help with food preparation, etc.
- Encourage free play, drawing, and art
- Encourage and supply children with healthy snacks and meals
- Look for teaching opportunities
