I've grown up taking care of children by default, because that is what a good big sister (of four siblings) is supposed to do, but began babysitting other children at the age of 16.
I've cared for infants by preparing bottles, putting them down for naps, and changing lots of diapers. The toddler age is by far my favorite age to care for a child because this is when their personalities are fully developing and they are so much fun to teach and play with. I just love to help parents instill good morals and help the child to learn the fundamentals and building blocks for education.
With elementary school kids I have assisted with tutoring in all subjects, but I am particularly good at math.
I enjoy taking the kids outdoors to parks and bike riding, but in instances like this super cold weather in Chicago, it's best to have fun with indoor activities.
I have done house work, cooked, and I have a valid Illinois driver's license, clean record, and a car.
This past year I have occasionally babysat for couples at my church, friends, and family. I currently volunteer at my church in the nursery, watching kids from 9 months to 6 years old.
