I grew up taking care of my younger brother, babysitting for extra cash, and sometimes just for fun because I love children. I was a nanny for two years for the a 6-year-old boy and 9-year-old daughter (they are older now). I wasn't required to help with homework or take them places, but if they made an effort with their chores and schoolwork, I would treat them to a day out at the track or wherever it was appropriate for them to play. I went through my whole pregnancy while being their nanny and even for a few months after having my now 2-year-old daughter. I also did very light housework while at his home (I watched the children at my place most weekends) and if there was laundry and floors to be cleaned, a note was placed on the fridge. I love doing activities and anything that sharpens the children's minds.
