I am a 29-year-old mother of a beautiful 4-year-old little girl. I raised her for the first 15 months alone due to my husband's deployment at the time. I helped raise my brother and cared for two children while their father was deployed to Iraq for a year. I also cared for another three children when their father was deployed to Afghanistan. I am very passionate about children and how they are growing up. I take pride in how well my daughters development has been due to my constant interaction with her, i. e., reading, learning the alphabet, counting, drawing, etc. I think it is important for a child to have interaction with their caregiver and not be placed in front of a television all day.
