Welcome parents! My name is Crystal. I have over 12 years of experience working with children from birth to around age 12 and even beyond. I have taught in daycare and academy arenas, as well as ran my own home daycare. I have also held positions as both an Au Pair and a nanny. I have lived-in and lived-out.

I love working with children, it's truly enjoyable for me. I come from a big family, so messes do not bother me! I am patient and caring. I am generally a happy person. I am open to any situation, or family style or grouping. I work well with parents, same sex parents, grandparents, sibling groups, multiples and most special needs children.

I am professional, I am not lazy. I love being active and teaching through example as well as through everyday activities. As for discipline, I prefer to use re-directional over negative. For example "we use our walking feet" or "can your feet walk for me?" or "I see you need to use some energy, lets go dance!" instead of "no running". I would certainly respect the parents choice in discipline, but that is my personal preference.

I also enjoy cleaning, odd I know. So I do not mind general cleaning as well, when there is free time to fill. Nor do I mind helping the child or children clean up and learn to keep things tidy.

I love to be active and go out and do things with the children. Let them explore their world safely and learn through doing as much as possible. I have good manners and try to teach the children I care for to use them as well.
