My early ambition and experience fostering and caring for children, began at 12 years old. I was the mother's little helper. My passion for children flourished during my teen years and early 20s. I baby-sat for family members and neighbors on a frequent basis. Baby-sitting was not just a passage of "passing time", but a learning and teaching experience. Interactive play and reading was my mantra, culminating in learning. Children are a blank slate willing and eager to engage. To watch a child's face at that moment of understanding and learning something new, is a new feeling every time.
