I have a certification in Medical Assisting so I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have a BA in Forensic Psychology, AS in Criminal Justice, Certification in Medical Assisting, and in Child Protection (I was a child protective specialist for The City of New York for 3 years). I also have experience with family, group, and individual counseling as I was a preventive case worker for a non-profit organization. I also have experience as a family worker for a head start and a case worker for the foster care system. I have been fingerprinted by the department of education, and the department of investigations, so I am in the system. I have also been cleared by the State Central Registrar, which is the child abuse and neglect background check. I also have a certification for mandated reporting for NYS and recently received my certification for a 15 hour class I took on child care. I am working on my child care provider license.

I am available during the day to care for children out of my home. Child care provided in my home consist of schedules and play time. Children learn through play and this is very important for me. There will be story time and learning how to do different things.
