My name is Claire and I absolutely love working with children. I am a 19-year-old college student, and I am looking for employment as a nanny. My experience with kids is pretty extensive for someone my age. I babysat a pair of twins for two years (one of them was autistic), caring for them as is required for 4-years-old. I would make them dinner, give them baths, play with them, dress them, and put them to bed. I would babysit those two as many times as three nights a week, so I got to know them well. They were wonderful kids.
I am also currently employed by a company called Learning Solutions and basically what I do is I tutor autistic children. At Learning Solutions, we train the kids with basic life skills that they will need in order to function in society. I have been employed by L. S. for almost four months, and I find the job to be both challenging and rewarding.
I also have experience being in charge of large groups of children. For four summers, I volunteered at my old church during vacation bible school sessions. I started out with kitchen duty the first summer, then I was an assistant group leader, and then the last two years I was a group leader. Duties involved teaching the kids daily lessons, crafts, leading them from station to station, snacks, story time, and much more. I was in charge of up to eight kids at once, which got pretty hectic at times, but I was able to handle it skillfully.
