I have been caring for children as a job for about six years. I started by babysitting my siblings and cousins and as I grew older, I worked for many local families that knew of me through my younger siblings and cousins. I have three younger siblings and have always been protective of them and had a caring attitude. During my high school career, I babysat for a family with two elementary aged children many weekend nights. I spent a year watching a 2-year-old, a 5-year-old, and a 10-year-old after school and cooked them dinner. Later that year, I cared for a 5-year-old after school. Over the summer, I drove an 8-year-old to and from camp and watched her at the pool. During college, I found a weekly job with a local family that had 2-year-old twins. I have always been passionate about watching children because I love watching them grow and learn new things from each other and from me. I have been surrounded by younger children my whole life and I find it comforting. I have had experience with many different ages and temperaments and I feel I am a very well rounded caregiver.
