I'm the proud single mother of a wonderful 12.5-year-old young lady. I am 40 years young. I have been a caregiver for most of my working career. Starting as a nanny for a 2yr old and a newborn. I was a C.N.A for 2 yrs. I worked with adults w/ disabilities for 9yrs and worked with children from 1week to 5yrs old for 2.5 yrs. I took care of my nephew for one year right after my daughter was born so I could stay home with her. He was 2.5 at the time. I cared for a friend's daughter for roughly a year after she was born so her parents could work knowing she was in safe hands. I have an immense amount of patience and a very nurturing personality. I want in no way for this to sound arrogant, but children gravitate towards me. I believe because it is my sense of calm. They know they are safe. I've enjoyed all of these positions simply because I learned from every person/child and every experience. I truly enjoy children simply because seeing the world through their eyes keeps me young at heart.
