26-year-old graduate school student in psychology with years of personal experience. Babysat younger brother since she was age of 12 (he is 5 years her junior), where she helped transport him home from school, fed, bathed him, tutored, helped with homework on a daily basis. Volunteered in toddler room of hospital daycare center, where she helped with snack/meal times, washed bibs/sippy cups, oversaw nap time and playtime. Helped raise 5-year-old nephew since birth; baths, feedings (bottles and solids), changed diapers, cleaned up after meals and accidents, bought educational toys (leapster, baby Einstein, etc.) and books and read to nephew. (Has been in good contact with nephew, who resides in Chicago, IL; Christina relocated to California for graduate school.) On another note, at the age of 15, became primary caregiver of ailing father who suddenly fell ill. Scheduled/transported/arranged doctors appointments, medication intake, IV infusions, baths, feedings. Still acts as clinical liaison between father and his medical team. CPR/AED/First Aid certified, certified pharmacy technician (has vast knowledge about medication administration and indication), earned Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist certificate through Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health last year. Former premed student who shadowed MDs and ODs before pursuing marriage and family therapy. Volunteered in ER and ICU departments of major hospital in Chicago. Currently a practicum trainee at child development site in Santa Monica where she will facilitate parenting groups, and take on individual cases of parents and their children, ages 0-6 years.
