For as long as I can remember I had a quick eye for detail, that plays a very big roll in my childcare work. I can often avoid a meltdown or accident just watching what is happening at all times. I have always been around children, teaching them how to swim or exploring the kitchen through baking a batch of cookies. My mother owned a children's store where I spent most of my school days (after school). It was there where I learned patience and I found my desire to teach and care for the next generation. I would spend countless hours on the store carpet reading to the customers children or grandchildren while they shopped. I also spent a lot of time at the gym, while I trained in gymnastics. Before and after practice I would shadow the coaches and teach the young kids the amazing sport. I have been coaching gymnastics for 11 years now. Recently I have begun coaching kids with special needs, it has really opened my eyes and my heart. I strive to give every child what they deserve; a FUN, nurturing and educational experience. I began babysitting my niece when I was 11, while my sister made a short trip to the gym or grocery store. That opened many doors in the past 13 years, I've moved on to taking care of multiples which led to newborns then preteens and most recently I began part-time work with children with special needs. I love to provide a fun, warm experience for all the kids that come through my life. I hope that each one will take with them what they need to become a strong and respectful citizen of society. Some I hope will become Olympic Athletes that remember their first coach.
