My very first part-time job in high school was working for an after school program at MDUMC. I went on to work there as I put myself through college. I worked with all age ranges (6 mo - 5th grade) and absolutely loved it! Duties varied depending on the age group, but I often helped school age children with homework and scheduled/planned appropriate activities for the younger ones. Other obvious duties included monitoring lunch and snack time, tending to minor injuries, updating parents when a child reached a developmental milestone or was having difficulty mastering appropriate behaviors and tasks for their age.
I would like to earn a little bit of extra money on the side (doing something I love) to put away for the costs associated with starting my own family in the somewhat near future.
