I have much experience when it comes to children. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years of age. I am now 19 and hold two very important jobs that both directly involve children. I am a dance teacher for ages 4-9. Working with children of all different ages in one day is quite the experience. I get to see how the different age groups interact with each other and also play with all of the children as a whole while maintaining a dance lesson.
I am also a nanny for three wonderful children. The youngest is one and the oldest is six. The middle child is four years of age and loves telling everyone "how many he is". Being a nanny is one thing that I love and look forward to doing every day. I love being able to help the children with their homework and learn new things. Children are the future and that is why we need to be so careful about what we fill their heads with. As a nanny, I only allow the children to watch 15 min. of TV a day. This gives us more time to do fun and creative activities. I believe that it is important to teach children (even at age one) to eat healthy. Every day when the children have their snack they help me to prepare a healthy treat. It could be something as simple as yogurt with fruit in it. Children love helping out in the kitchen, so I let them. It is fun to create healthy snacks when you work together as a team.
I love both of my jobs very much and I get different rewards out of each. I am currently studying to get my A. A. S in Early Childhood Education and I plan to become a preschool teacher.
