I am an experienced, educated, and professional nanny looking for a part-time position. I am currently working for a family 4 days a week. I care for a 5-month-old boy on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. So, as I have Wed. free, I am interested in finding work for this day. I am also available on weekends.

I have most recently (in addition to the infant in my care currently) worked for families in helping them care for their infant/toddler twins. Prior to working with twins, I took care of a preschool age girl starting at 3 months of age and continued with her family for the following 17 months. I have additional child care experience from before this time as well. I also have experience with older children.
I am only two courses away from completing a Bachelor's Degree in a non-education/childcare-related field. I plan to graduate in December. I attend class part-time in the evenings. I am also currently taking courses to become certified in early childhood education at a local community college.
I consider myself a professional nanny, and would like to work for a family that is seeking this type of care. I believe in lots of affection, fun, communication (certainly with babies too!), and the encouragement of age-appropriate activities for enrichment. In my previous positions I have often suggested classes and/or activities to parents, and this has always been appreciated. I have also planned outings which included weekly trips to the library, park, zoo, play dates, etc. I am very organized, detailed, and quite easily anticipate the needs of others without always having to be asked. I have also at times performed other duties for busy families not related to child care. These included maintaining shopping lists, grocery shopping, running various errands, and cooking simple meals to name a few.
I enjoy music, photography, travel, reading, writing (I have a particular interest in children's books), and I often like to share these interests with the children in my care.
I can provide written references and a resume after an initial phone chat. I am able to start a new position as soon as possible, and/or will consider temporary work, as well. I look forward to speaking with interested families and finding out about their childcare needs. I am CPR certified as well.
