I'm a 23-year-old student who's living in Minneapolis. I love working with kids of all ages, and I want to use that passion to teach and change lives throughout the world.

I'm currently employed part-time as an aide in the toddler room at the YWCA of Minneapolis, and have been here since July of 2011. For the first 6 months at the YWCA, I worked as a substitute teacher in all classrooms, infants through school age. From 2010-2011, I worked full-time for a preschool and as a preschool literacy tutor. I've also previously provided part-time nanny services to families in their homes, as well as subbed at the YWCA with all ages, worked in art-based summer camps and worked at an after-school program with ages K-5. Besides paid work, I've spent many hours volunteering with children at the library and at a children's museum, among other organizations. I'm comfortable working with children of all ages, from newborns all the way up to middle and high school.

I am attending classes full-time at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. I will be transferring to the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities location) to double major in Education and Linguistics (the study of language), with minors in Japanese and Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language.
