I have had a lot of experience with children. I have been babysitting for six years. I have worked as a nanny for the past two summers for a family with three little girls. I was responsible for coming up with activities for each day, preparing meals, and providing transportation for them throughout the summer. I worked at a daycare in Kirksville, Missouri three days a week last year. At the daycare, I helped watch 10 children with the help of one teacher and helped prepared meals for them. I also worked with my tennis coach as his assistant for two summers. As his assistant I helped him coach children three to four days every week throughout the summer. I also helped him coach a Tennis Summer Camp. We supervised 30-40 children with a four member team from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday for one week with the Ozark Park Board each summer. We developed drills to teach fundamental tennis skills while making sure the children still had fun. I now work at the Kirksville Child Development Center as a teacher's assistant twice a week. As an assistant, I am responsible for creating weekly lesson plans for small group time to foster creativity, mentoring children by helping them to learn to read, create, and write, and supervising 20 to 30 children with three other teachers.
